Why Participate in a Clinical Study?

Participation in clinical research may provide access to study-related care and services, which can be especially valuable for individuals who are underinsured or uninsured.

Participation may include:

  • Regular medical evaluations and ongoing health monitoring
  • Study-related medication provided at no cost
  • Laboratory testing (including blood work)
  • Blood pressure monitoring and management
  • Select diagnostic testing, including imaging and scans, as required by the study
  • Education and lifestyle support
  • Access to registered dietitians, depending on the study
  • Ongoing interaction with licensed healthcare professionals

Participation is voluntary, and all studies are conducted under IRB approval  and an informed consent.

El Paso Research - patients

Who We Serve?

We serve a region with a high burden of obesity and diabetes, where many patients have had limited access to pharmacologic treatment. This results in a population with significant unmet medical needs and limited prior exposure to medical care and other metabolic therapies.
